You’ve seen our tools, now here’s the strategy. Redirect money and power in scholarly communications by reducing reliance on subscriptions so libraries have leverage to negotiate for better prices and terms with publishers in order to make a more equitable and open world. To reduce reliance on subscriptions, community owned tools have to Deliver Articles (differently) and Fill your Repository. We won’t let paying us to get in the way, it’s hard enough already, or stop libraries who can’t afford subscriptions already using our tools.
To continue our work, we need Leadership from libraries who want to join us on the cutting edge of open, or just benefit from our tools, to financially support our work.
